Tubby tug build continues

This week I managed to sand down the tubby tug in preparation for painting.

Unfortunately it have been sitting outside, so there is quite some clean-up to do- as well as wiping down all the dust from the sanding. All the stuff in the driveway also needs a hose down to get clean again!

After sanding down the boat I went shopping for parts. First of all I needed paint and bought the following… and the boat will be painted black with a classic stripe of white down the railing.

The paint shold adhere fine to the glasfibre – but time will tell. Since the boat will not be permanently in the water hence I will not use true bottom paint.

Secondly I picked up some different hardware I were missing.

First of two vents for the seating to prevent rot inside the seats, some lashing blocks and a pull eye as well as two drain plugs. I expect to move the boat into the shop within a week, where I will work hard at completing the boat for the spring launch in april.
